Role description
Job Description The Department of Technology, Management and Budget supports the business operations of state agencies through a variety of services, including building management and maintenance, information technology, centralized contracting and procurement, budget and financial management, space planning and leasing, construction management, motor vehicle fleet operations, and oversight of the state retirement systems. This position is with the Agency Services area of DTMB. The DevSecOps Specialist has responsibilities during all phases of the software development lifecycle related to Datawarehouse (DW) applications for Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS). The specialist is responsible for supporting the organization’s Software Development Processes through the design and implementation of efficient and robust Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines using technical tools such as Azure DevOps, Linux shell scripting, YAML pipelines, APIs, Git automation, JIRA, Helix ITSM, and ClickUp. The specialist is responsible for leading and implementing best practices for security automation development lifecycle (SADLC) management build and release processes including, but not limited to, automation to support continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD), branching strategies, automated code review, and testing to meet the goals and mission of the agency. This position has responsibilities during all phases of the software development lifecycle related to the complex Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS) Data Warehouse (DW) for all MDHHS DW applications on platforms such as Teradata and Linux, as well as code repositories for languages such as SQL, python, .net, perl, awk, C, shell scripts, bash, sh, korn shell, cURL, SOAP, and Teradata utilities including TPT, Mload, BTEQ, Fastload, Fastexport. This position is located in Lansing, MI. This position may work a hybrid (remote/office) schedule with 2 days required in the office per week. Selected candidates who have been approved to work a hybrid schedule must complete that work within Michigan. Candidates should confirm work location and schedule at the time of interview. Signing Bonus This position may be eligible for a sign-on bonus of up to $2,500. Up to $1,250 to be paid upon new hire and the remainder to be paid after satisfactory completion of the initial probationary period (12-month period). This does not apply to current state employees.
