Job Title: Java Tech Lead (W2 Only) Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Java Tech Lead to join our engineering team on a W2 basis. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in Java and related technologies, a solid understanding of microservices architecture, cloud platforms (Azure is a plus), and front-end frameworks like Angular, Node.js, or React.js. This role requires leadership, hands-on development, and mentorship capabilities to drive complex projects in a hybrid work environment. Key Responsibilities: Lead the design, development, and deployment of scalable, high-performance Java-based applications. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and implement new features. Guide and mentor team members through code reviews, pair programming, and architectural discussions. Enforce best practices in software engineering, code quality, and performance optimization. Oversee project timelines, deliverables, and ensure successful on-time delivery. Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in both development and production environments. Advocate for clean, maintainable code and modern development practices. Stay current with emerging technologies and recommend their adoption when appropriate. Required Skills & Qualifications: 8+ years of experience in Java/J2EE application development. Proven experience with Microservices architecture and design patterns. Experience with cloud technologies – Azure preferred (AWS/GCP also acceptable). Strong knowledge of Angular (preferred), React.js or Node.js. Experience in building and consuming RESTful APIs. Familiarity with CI/CD tools and DevOps practices. Solid understanding of relational and NoSQL databases. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong communication and leadership skills. Nice to Have: Azure certifications or hands-on experience with Azure DevOps. Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes). Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
