Javascript Developer

About the Role: We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Lead Node.js Developer to join our engineering team. In this role, you will lead the design, development, and maintenance of scalable backend systems and APIs. You will collaborate closely with product managers, architects, and front-end developers to deliver high-quality software solutions. As a team lead, you will also mentor junior developers, enforce coding best practices, and ensure system performance and security. Key Responsibilities: • Lead the design, development, and deployment of scalable backend services using Node.js. • Define best practices for coding, architecture, and performance optimization. • Work with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions. • Develop RESTful and GraphQL APIs, ensuring security and high availability. • Manage and optimize databases (SQL/NoSQL) for performance and scalability. • Collaborate with front-end teams to integrate APIs with web and mobile applications. • Conduct code reviews, provide technical guidance, and mentor junior developers. • Drive adoption of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing. • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement improvements. • Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies to enhance the team’s capabilities. Required Qualifications: • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. • 6+ years of experience in backend development, with at least 2+ years in a lead role. • Strong proficiency in Node.js, Express.js (or similar frameworks). • Hands-on experience with JavaScript/TypeScript. • Solid understanding of RESTful APIs, GraphQL, and microservices architecture. • Experience with databases (MongoDB, PostgreSQL, MySQL, Redis, etc.). • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP). • Strong understanding of DevOps, CI/CD, Docker, and container orchestration (Kubernetes). • Knowledge of authentication, authorization, and web security best practices. • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
