Role description
Job Title: Lead AI Developer (Hybrid)Location: Lansing, MIDuration: 12+ MonthsPay Rate: $70/hr on C2C / 1099 (all inclusive) or $65/hr on W2
Interview Process:
Candidates must be willing to attend onsite interviews in Lansing, MI.
A screenshot photo will be required for interviews, and a vendor must be present at the start of any MS Teams interview for validation.
Work Arrangement:
Local candidates only (within 90 minutes of Lansing, MI).
Hybrid role: 2 days per week onsite.
No remote-only option.
Position Overview
The Lead AI Developer will support and enhance Google Cloud Platform (GCP) applications, specifically Document AI (Doc AI), for the Vital Records division. Doc AI is used to scan paper marriage licenses, extract index information and images into FileNet, and store them in the on-premise VERA application. This role ensures stability, functionality, compliance, and data integrity while serving as both a developer and technical lead, providing guidance to other team members.
Failure to fill this role would result in manual processes prone to errors, risking data accuracy and patient information reporting.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, maintain, and enhance Doc AI and related GCP solutions.
Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and oversight for other developers.
Design and implement AI/ML solutions to streamline critical business processes.
Ensure SEM/SUITE compliance, security, and data integrity.
Contribute to project integration, maintenance, and implementation efforts.
Design conversational flows, chatbot interfaces, and ensure optimal user experience.
Build, manage, and optimize chatbot applications across platforms (web, mobile, voice).
Collaborate with cross-functional teams using agile development practices.
Required Skills & Experience (3+ Years Each)
AI/ML frameworks: TensorFlow, PyTorch, Keras, Scikit-learn.
Natural Language Processing (NLP): SpaCy, NLTK, Hugging Face.
OCR tools: Tesseract, Google Vision API, AWS Textract.
Chatbot platforms: Dialogflow ES/CX, Google Assistant SDK, Google Cloud tools.
Programming: Python, Java, JavaScript (Node.js), C++.
Data processing: SQL, R, Pandas.
Microservices architecture.
RESTful APIs and webhooks.
Cloud computing: Google Cloud Platform (Cloud Functions, App Engine, Firestore), AWS, Azure AI.
Front-end: Angular/React JS, JavaScript frameworks.
JBOSS Enterprise SOA environment (including JBOSS Workflow).
CI/CD pipelines with Azure DevOps.
