FINANCE DOMAIN EXPERIENCE
Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer with deep expertise in SQL, Azure Fabric, and Medallion Architecture to join our dynamic team in the finance domain. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and developing scalable data pipelines, ensuring robust data governance, and implementing modern data architecture principles to support analytics and business intelligence initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
β’ Design and develop end-to-end data pipelines using Azure Data Fabric.
β’ Implement and maintain Medallion Architecture (Bronze, Silver, Gold layers) in a secure and scalable Azure environment.
β’ Write complex and optimized SQL queries to transform, cleanse, and prepare large datasets.
β’ Work closely with Data Architects, BI teams, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements.
β’ Ensure data quality, consistency, and lineage across various data sources and systems.
β’ Optimize data pipeline performance and troubleshoot issues in Azure-based data infrastructure.
β’ Support data governance and compliance requirements within the financial services regulatory framework.
Required Skills & Experience:
β’ 8+ years of experience as a Data Engineer in enterprise-level environments.
β’ Strong proficiency in SQL and data modeling concepts.
β’ Hands-on experience with Azure Data Fabric (including Data Factory, Synapse, Data Lake, etc.).
β’ Proven experience designing and implementing Medallion Architecture.
β’ Experience with Delta Lake, Apache Spark, or Databricks is a strong plus.
β’ Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices in data engineering.
β’ Previous experience in the Finance or Banking domain is preferred.
β’ Strong communication and documentation skills.
β’ Experience with Power BI, Azure Purview, or Microsoft Fabric Analytics is a plus.
