Senior/Lead Data Engineer (with databricks certification) 100% REMOTE Long-term contract role The client is looking for a Lead or Senior Cloud Data Engineer with Databricks certification with experience working in a Big Data ecosystem. The positions will primarily be responsible for interfacing with key stakeholders and applying your technical proficiency across different stages of the Software Development Life Cycle, including Requirements Elicitation and Design. You will play an important role in creating the high-level design artifacts. You will also deliver high-quality code deliverables for a module, lead validation for all types of testing, and support activities related to implementation, transition, and warranty. Required Qualifications: • Candidates must be located in the USA mainland, and this position may require travel in the US. • Bachelor s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Capable of assessing communication needs and evaluating the effectiveness of communication strategies • Agile Methodologies: Familiarity with Agile practices for managing projects. • ETL Process Management: Expertise in Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) processes to integrate data from various sources. • Big Data Technologies: Familiarity with tools like Hadoop and Spark for processing large datasets. Preferred Qualifications: • Proven experience working in Databricks implementations and being certified by Databricks is required • At least 2 projects of experience with Databricks • Cloud Services Knowledge: Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) for scalable data storage and processing. • Stakeholder Management: Skilled in managing stakeholder expectations and feedback. • Business Acumen: Understanding of business processes to align projects with organizational goals. • CI / CD exposure
