Kforce has a client that is seeking 2 Lead Developers. 100% remote is allowed for this role if the candidate does not currently reside in Tallahassee, FL, however onsite would be required for the initial onboarding that is about a week, and that expense would not be paid by the client. Primary Job Duties/Tasks:
β’ Lead Developer will work as a developer and subject matter expert for applications dealing with complex financial business processes on large cross-functional application projects, ensuring that robust and scalable solutions are implemented
β’ Provide guidance and oversight to quality assurance on all new code from inception through integration, staging and production environments
β’ Provide hands-on support to peers and mentor others
β’ Identify, analyze and resolve problems and issues using troubleshooting tools and techniques as well as teamwork
β’ Work with team toward continuous improvement; May include design, definition of roadmaps, standardization of processes and methodologies; Collaborate with other developers and architects to drive guidelines, methodologies, and documentation
β’ As a Lead Developer, you will work in partnership with distributed cross-functional teams to ensure all aspects of the project is communicated, supported and delivered to the highest standards
β’ Develop and apply knowledge of trends, relevant software development technologies and methodologies
Requirements
β’ Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or other related field or equivalent work experience
β’ Must have a minimum of 7+ years as a lead developer or development manager
β’ 5+ years of broad experience working with development technologies including COBOL, CA Gen, Classic ASP, DB2 for z/OS or Oracle databases or similar relational databases
β’ Experience with development and maintenance of Software systems dealing with complex financial business processes
β’ Knowledge of terminology and concepts of DB2 for z/OS or Oracle databases or similar relational databases, including SQL proficiency
β’ Knowledge of Computer Associates' CA Gen Com Proxy service and COBOL
β’ Knowledge of Active Server Pages (Classic ASP) web page development languages VB and J-script
β’ Knowledge of IBM Z-Server, CICS, JCL, and COBOL
β’ Knowledge of Microsoft Visual Studio/.Net preferred
β’ Proficient with Computer Associates' CA Gen workstation toolset for web server, online and batch procedures
β’ Skilled in verbal and written communication, interpersonal, conflict resolution, and customer service
β’ Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high volume, deadline-driven environment
β’ Ability to balance multiple demands and work both independently and as part of a team
β’ Ability to conduct complex systems analysis and translate user requirements into business solutions
β’ Ability to integrate research and best practices into problem avoidance and continuous improvement
β’ Ability to effectively communicate and lead development teams
β’ Ability to display professionalism in dealing with all levels of management and staff
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
