Lead ETL Developer

Position: Lead ETL Developer Position Location: Pittsburgh, PA and Strongsville, OH Ability to work remote: Yes, 3 days in office, 2 remote Acceptable time zone(s): EST Days of the week: M-F 40 hours Working Hours (Flexible): M-F 8-5 EST Duration: 6 Months Potential for Contract Extension: Yes Contract to Hire W2 Industry background: Banking/financial background preferred Team Dynamic: 60+ individuals under manager. 30 onsite, 30 offshore – 11 fulltime, Software Engineer lead will be interacting with a smaller group from this team. Roles and Responsibilities: • Testing and coordination between the teams and with offshore and onshore. • Consult with engineering staff to evaluate interface between hardware and software, develop specifications and performance requirements and resolve customer problems. • Advise customer about, or perform, maintenance of software system. • Develop and direct software system testing and validation procedures. • Inform customers or other departments on project status, proposals and technical issues such as software system design and maintenance. • Direct software programming and development of documentation. Must Have Technical Skills: • ETL • Hadoop • Python • Teradata • SDLC Soft Skills: • Strong written and verbal communication • Can independently work Education/Certifications: Bachelors, will look at experience in lieu of education Software testing or related areas certifications a plus.
