Machine Learning Engineer

Job Title: Machine Learning Engineer Location: 100% Remote Type: 6 Months Contract Job Description (highlight main points:) • We build tools that enable moderators to effectively manage and enforce community standards. • You will work closely with an existing engineering team and contribute to the overall technical direction of the project and team. • The team is a product-focused group developing machine learning capabilities for a user-facing platform. In this hands-on role, you will help accelerate the ML development lifecycle—from internal tooling and model development to validation, deployment, and production optimization. • Your work will directly impact the automation of moderation actions, particularly rule enforcement. Responsibilities: • Design, build, and deploy LLM and non-LLM models to solve critical user-facing classification problems. • Support rapid iteration of models across a wide range of content types, including text, links, images, and video. • Build model testing, validation frameworks, and internal tools that enable faster execution and higher-quality outcomes. Required Qualifications: • 3+ years of end-to-end experience training, evaluating, and deploying machine learning models in production environments. • Strong proficiency in Python with a solid understanding of software development best practices for rapid iteration. • Hands-on experience with classification problems. • Experience with Google Vertex AI and Gemini LLM capabilities. • Familiarity with image and video processing machine learning systems. • Proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including product managers and data scientists, to translate business requirements into technical solutions. • Demonstrated track record of using machine learning to drive KPI improvements and solve complex, real-world problems. Bonus Points: • Experience working with Classifier problems. • Experience in Google Vertex/Gemini LLM and its capabilities. • Familiarity with image/video processing ML systems.
