About The Role We’re seeking a highly skilled and motivated Microsoft Power BI Developer to join a high-performing data team transforming business operations through advanced analytics and intuitive reporting solutions. This individual will collaborate closely with business stakeholders to convert complex data into clear, actionable dashboards, reports, and metrics that drive strategic decision-making. Key Responsibilities • Design, build, and deploy Power BI dashboards and reports that support critical business functions. • Collaborate with business users to gather requirements, understand KPIs, and translate insights into visualizations. • Leverage Azure Databricks and dbt to build gold-layer reporting objects for Power BI consumption. • Create data models using Power Query (M) and DAX with performance optimization in mind. • Implement and maintain Azure Analysis Services (SSAS), Azure Data Lake, Azure SQL DB, and other sources. • Develop, test, and schedule tabular models and paginated reports using SSRS and Power BI Report Builder. • Ensure data governance, security roles, and user access controls are in place across reports. • Maintain documentation and data dictionaries to support user enablement and compliance. Must-Have Skills & Experience • 5+ years’ experience in a BI or Power BI Developer role. • Strong experience with Power BI, DAX, Power Query, and Power Pivot. • Hands-on experience with Azure Databricks, Azure Analysis Services, Azure SQL Server, and ADLS. • Experience developing dashboards and reports from gold-layer datasets using dbt. • Skilled with SSRS and managing paginated reports. • Solid understanding of data warehouse concepts and ETL processes. • Proficient in SQL and familiar with MongoDB or other NoSQL tools. • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. Nice-to-Haves • Certification in Microsoft Power BI, Azure Data Engineering, or related technologies. • Familiarity with Tableau, QlikView, or Cognos. • Experience with Azure Automation, Procore, or Smartsheet is a plus. • Prior experience in reinsurance or financial services industries.
