Position: Mid-Level Cloud Engineer
Location: Plano, TX 75074
Work Schedule: M-F Onsite
Pay: $50 - $60/hr

Overview
As a Mid-Level Cloud Engineer, you will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing our GCP-based cloud infrastructure to support business-critical systems and enterprise-scale applications. Youβll work closely with cybersecurity, and application development teams to ensure scalable, secure, and reliable cloud solutions aligned with compliance and business goals.
Key Responsibilities
Deploy, manage, and optimize infrastructure and services on Google Cloud Platform.
Write and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, Deployment Manager, or similar tools.
Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for application and infrastructure delivery using tools like Cloud Build, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions.
Collaborate with InfoSec and compliance teams to implement security best practices across cloud resources.
Monitor infrastructure performance and cost; implement resource optimizations and budgets.
Manage core GCP services: Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, Cloud SQL, IAM, VPCs, Cloud Functions, and BigQuery.
Support disaster recovery, high availability, and backup strategy for cloud environments.
Assist in planning and executing cloud migrations and legacy system refactoring efforts.
Required:
3β5 years of experience in a cloud infrastructure role
2+ years of hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
Strong experience with IaC (Terraform preferred).
Comfortable with Linux system administration and scripting in Python, Shell, or Go.
Experience with containerized environments, preferably Kubernetes (GKE).
Solid grasp of networking concepts (DNS, VPN, load balancers, firewalls, subnets).
Familiarity with monitoring/logging tools (e.g., Stackdriver, Cloud Monitoring, Datadog, or Splunk).
