Role description
Job Title: OpenShift Cloud Engineer Location: Woodall Rodgers, TX(Hybrid) Duration: 6 months Required Skills & Experience: β€’ 5+ years working with OpenShift (v4.15 and newer). β€’ Experience with: β€’ OpenShift Data Foundation / Platform Plus β€’ Ceph storage β€’ Cloud platforms: AWS, Azure, or IBM Cloud β€’ Containers (Docker), Kubernetes, and microservices β€’ Familiar with: β€’ Java, JBoss, nginx, Node.js β€’ Migrating apps to containers β€’ Scripting and configuration tools (e.g., Ansible, Terraform) β€’ CI/CD tools like GitLab, Jenkins, Chef β€’ Strong analytical and multitasking skills. β€’ Excellent communication (written and verbal). β€’ Basic networking knowledge (protocols, firewalls, load balancers). β€’ Willingness to document and share knowledge with the team. Preferred Qualifications: β€’ VMware (vCenter, vRA, vRO) β€’ Running OpenShift on bare metal β€’ ROSA and Azure β€’ SSL certificate management β€’ Agile practices (Kanban, sprints, stand-ups) β€’ Monitoring/logging tools (Dynatrace, QRadar)
