Senior OroCommerce Full Stack Developer / Charlotte, NC [MUST] / Hybrid
About our Customer:
Our direct customer, a global Fortune 500 company & a leader in the Food Services industry is looking for a seasoned Full Stack Developer with deep expertise in OroCommerce to lead the development and optimization of our B2B eCommerce platform.
This role demands a strategic thinker who can bridge the gap between complex business requirements and scalable technical solutions. The candidate should be comfortable working alongside a system integrator as client deploys to the new platform and transition to an in-house team.
Responsibilities
β’ Architect & Develop: Work closely with solutions architect to design and implement robust, scalable, and secure solutions within the OroCommerce framework.
β’ Customization: Strike a balance between leveraging OOTB features and customizing OroCommerce functionalities to meet specific business needs, including module development and third-party integrations.
β’ Front-End Development: Enhance user interfaces using Twig templates, JavaScript, and CSS to ensure a seamless user experience.
β’ Back-End Development: Develop and maintain custom bundles, services, and APIs within the Symfony-based OroCommerce architecture.
β’ Database Management: Design and optimize database schemas, ensuring data integrity and performance.
β’ Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Product Managers, UX/UI Designers, and QA Engineers, to deliver high-quality solutions.
Required Qualifications:
β’ 5+ years in full-stack development with a focus on PHP and Symfony; 3+ years specifically with OroCommerce.
β’ Good object-oriented design (OOD) skills, strong command of PHP, Symfony, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and MySQL/PostgreSQL and experience with database design.
β’ Experience with OroCommerce, Doctrine ORM, Twig, and RESTful API development.
β’ Experience testing your code with PHPUnit, functional (Symfonyβs Web TestCase) and integration (Behat) testing, implement best Continuous Integration practices (Jenkins, Docker, GCP).
β’ Proficient in Git and collaborative development workflows.
β’ Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
β’ Certifications: OroCommerce Developer Certification or equivalent.
β’ DevOps: Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and cloud platforms like AWS or Azure.
β’ Agile Methodologies: Experience working in SAFe Agile/Scrum environments.
β’ B2B eCommerce: Understanding of B2B eCommerce workflows and business logic and experience with enterprise eCommerce platforms.
