About The Team And The Role
Reporting to the Financial Controller, Finance Transformation this role is a core member of the Finance Transformation team supporting Ocado Retail’s (ORL) Finance change programme with a focus on delivering excellence through the P2P Project. The P2P project aims to strengthen cash management and tighten controls through fit-for-purpose system architecture, improved process efficiency and increased data integrity – ensuring that ORL achieves the industry standard and thus is operating on a platform for the future.
What You’ll Do
The P2P Business Analyst is responsible for analysing and optimising the Procure to Pay (P2P) and relevant Supply Chain processes within Oracle Cloud applications, centred around Oracle Fusion. This involves collaborating with stakeholders, capturing and evaluating existing processes, business needs and translating them into business process and system requirements, ensuring the configuring Oracle Cloud modules meets business requirements, and ensuring seamless integration with existing systems. The P2P Business Analyst also supports the implementation and maintenance of Oracle Cloud solutions, including documenting processes, and providing training. Detailed breakdown of the role's responsibilities:
Project Delivery:
• The primary objective of this role is to take ownership for delivering successful outcomes on a number of P2P process improvement and data initiatives that roll up into the wider P2P workstream and Finance Transformation Programme
• We are looking for a hands-on individual who is proactive, willing to roll up their sleeves and has the intellectual capability and curiosity to understand the complexities of our data that sits across multiple systems and work with key stakeholders (i.e. Transformation team, Accounts Payable, Finance Systems, IT, Controls, etc.) to find and deliver solutions that meet our overall objectives
• The Finance Transformation programme has been fully defined, scoped and is in-flight with a deadline for all deliverables to be in place by 31st March 2026
Process Analysis and Optimization:
• Analyse current P2P and applicable Supply Chain processes, identify bottlenecks, and propose improvements using Oracle Cloud solutions.
• Collaborate with business users to understand their needs, gather requirements, and document them for implementation.
• Focus areas are expected to include but not be limited to taking point on requirement gathering and documentation from a Finance perspective for the implementation of a Supplier Portal, new product master data management system and cost price management system.
• Document processes, create training materials, and provide support to users.
Finance point of contact for IT led, P2P related transformation programmes:
• Act as the Finance point of contact for IT led transformation programmes impacting P2P processes, that include, but are not limited to, implementation of a new product master data management system and cost price management system.
• Note that there is another Supply Chain focused Business Analyst who will take on this finance point of contact role for Supply Chain projects and initiatives that this role is expected to work closely with to ensure alignment and full coverage across the end to end P2P landscape.
Configuration, Implementation, Integration and Testing:
• Work with the Finance Systems team to configure Oracle Cloud modules (e.g., Procurement, Accounts Payable, Supply Chain Planning) to meet business requirements.
• Play a significant role in the successful delivery of the implementation of a Supplier Portal, (Oracle solution).
Provide Expertise and Recommendations:
• Identify areas for improvement in P2P and related Supply Chain processes and recommend solutions based on deep expertise and experience intended to drive Ocado Retail towards industry standard.
Who You Are
Essential:
• Strong knowledge of Oracle Cloud Fusion modules, particularly Procurement, Accounts Payable, and Supply Chain Planning.
• Deep understanding of end-to-end P2P and Supply Chain processes, including requisitioning, procurement, invoice processing and inventory management.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify business needs and propose solutions.
• Experience in configuring and customizing Oracle Cloud applications to meet specific business requirements.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to document processes and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
• Familiarity with project management methodologies (e.g., Waterfall, Agile) and experience working on projects.
• Experience of Finance Process, Supply Chain Management and Procurement
• Demonstrable experience in Business Analysis
• Demonstrable experience of working in Finance or with Supply Chain and Finance Teams
• Proven experience using Excel and process mapping tools to a high level
• Proactive, self-motivated individual who derives purpose and motivation from making an impact within tight timelines and with high visibility to senior leaders.
• Great communicator who enjoys working with a variety of stakeholders across Finance.
• Ability to simplify complexity both in terms of communication style but also in terms of converting complex problem statements into simple, focused and clear solutions.
• Takes a hands-on approach to problem solving. It’s critical that the successful candidate is comfortable, willing and able to get under the hood of the systems and deliver results independently.
• Comfortable working within a medium to large, fast paced, complex, customer focussed environment.
• Proven track record of influencing change within an organisation.
Desirable:
• Qualified or part-qualified accountant
• Experience of working within an organisation that exhibits good practice / leading class P2P processes.
