Platform Developer Location: Hybrid- Seattle, Washington Type: Contract Requirements: 5+ years of experience as a cloud platform developer with deployments for large-scale AWS environments with hands-on experience in cloud infrastructure development including Lambda, CloudWatch, SQS, and SNS. 5+ years software development experience with proven expertise in at least one programming language. 5+ years of experience with AWS services and cloud architecture with experience working with monitoring and observability platforms such as CloudWatch, Grafana, or similar tools. 3+ years of experience with Infrastructure as Code and DevOps practices. 2+ years of experience with Cisco ThousandEyes Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience. Project Overview: This engagement focuses on specific deliverables related to AWS platform development and automation of cloud infrastructure, such as Cisco ThousandEyes, for internal Amazon services. Scope of work: Platform Developer x 3 Provide AWS Platform Developer to support the development of internal services on the AWS platform. The AWS Platform Developer will closely work with manager and key internal stakeholders to drive and deliver cloud-native solutions and assist in developing innovative ways to automate and scale our AWS infrastructure deployments as we expand. The AWS Platform Developer will refine operational procedures, develop new tooling, and constantly think proactively and innovatively in an ambiguous, collaborative environment. Design and develop cloud-native solutions using Amazon's development standards and best practices. Development and implementation of cloud infrastructure solutions, configuration, and AWS service integration across a range of delivery projects. Create and maintain Infrastructure as Code implementations for AWS services deployment and configuration. Implement and maintain automated testing and deployment pipelines Build and integrate AWS services including but not limited to Lambda, CloudWatch, SQS, SNS, and Grafana. Work closely with internal customers and Amazon teams to facilitate smooth project execution in coordination with Technical Program Managers and Amazon engineers. Create and maintain technical documentation for all systems and processes. Provide weekly, monthly, and quarterly management reports on service health and performance.
