Role description
Role: Principal Oracle PL/SQL Developer
Location: Jersey City, NJ (Onsite)
Project: Supports a financial services business, handling very large volumes of sensitive data.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and optimize Oracle SQL/PLSQL objects (procedures, functions, triggers, packages, views)
• Performance tuning of existing and new database objects
• Manage ETL processes using SQL
• Loader, Python, and Unix shell scripts
• Handle large datasets (10+ TB) from multiple sources
• Create scripts for batch and real-time processing
• Support data analytics, modeling, and reporting
• Write queries to detect and fix data/interface issues
Required Skills:
• 10+ years Oracle SQL/PLSQL experience
• Unix shell scripting
• ETL (SQL
• Loader) and reporting tools
• Python is highly desirable
• Financial services experience preferred
Nice-to-Have:
• Experience with large datasets and data analytics
• AWS exposure
Interview Process:
• Round 1 (45 min): SQL/PLSQL queries (LiveSQL account required)
• Round 2 (45 min): Advanced querying + theory + behavioral questions
