We are looking for a Power BI Architect to lead the design, development, and governance of scalable and secure Power BI solutions across the organization. The ideal candidate will have deep technical expertise in the Power BI ecosystem, strong business acumen, and experience defining BI strategies aligned with organizational goals. As the Power BI Architect, you will work closely with business stakeholders, data engineers, and analysts to create intuitive and effective reporting solutions, define best practices, and establish a strong BI governance framework. Key Responsibilities: • Define and implement Power BI architecture standards, data models, and governance frameworks. • Lead the design of scalable, secure, and high-performance Power BI reports, dashboards, and semantic models (tabular models). • Architect and maintain enterprise-level data models and Power BI datasets. • Collaborate with data engineers and business stakeholders to translate business needs into BI solutions. • Establish and enforce best practices in data visualization, report performance optimization, and access control. • Develop and maintain Power BI governance policies, including workspace structure, naming conventions, security, and lifecycle management. • Work closely with IT teams to ensure data quality, integrity, and availability. • Enable self-service BI by building reusable data models and educating business users. • Provide architectural direction during Power BI integration with Azure services (Data Lake, Synapse, Azure SQL, etc.). • Stay current on new Power BI features and advocate for adoption of relevant capabilities. • Lead or support migration efforts from legacy BI tools to Power BI. Required Skills & Qualifications: • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field. • 7+ years of experience in BI and data analytics, with at least 3+ years focused on Power BI. • Deep expertise in Power BI Service, Power BI Desktop, DAX, and Power Query (M language). • Strong knowledge of data modeling concepts (Star/Snowflake schemas, normalization, etc.). • Experience with Power BI Dataflows, composite models, Row-Level Security (RLS), and Azure AD integration. • Proficiency in SQL and working with relational and cloud data sources (Azure SQL, Synapse, etc.). • Experience integrating Power BI with enterprise systems and modern data platforms. • Solid understanding of Power BI governance, security, and deployment pipelines. Preferred Qualifications: • Microsoft certifications (e.g., PL-300, PL-600, or DP-500). • Experience with Azure Data Platform tools: Synapse, Data Factory, Data Lake, etc. • Familiarity with DevOps for Power BI, including deployment automation and version control. • Knowledge of Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate) is a plus. • Experience migrating from tools like Tableau, Qlik, or SSRS to Power BI.
