Power BI Consultant

🌟 Power BI Consultant (Contract) – Remote (CET timezone alignment) We’re seeking an experienced Power BI Consultant to join our team on a contract basis initially through December 2025 (with strong scope for long term extension). This role is focused on providing strategic guidance, environment design, and governance best practices, while enabling our analysts to deliver high-quality dashboards for both internal and external stakeholders. What You’ll Do 🔹 Dashboard Oversight & Administration • Oversee the design and performance of Power BI dashboards for multi-user access. • Provide expert guidance on layout, usability, and visualization best practices. • Implement Row Level Security (RLS) for external-facing dashboards to ensure secure data access. • Integrate authentication solutions (Okta SSO → Azure AD federation). • Set up monitoring and logging to track user activity and dashboard usage. • Evaluate self-service and natural language Q&A capabilities. 🔹 Training & Enablement • Deliver structured Power BI/Tableau training for junior analysts. • Coach the team on dashboard development, troubleshooting, and best practices. • Establish a CI/CD lifecycle for Power BI deployment and maintenance. 🔹 Environment Architecture & Deployment • Design and implement a scalable Power BI environment (dev, staging, prod). • Define and document deployment processes, including GitHub version control and automation. • Set up workspace management and security best practices. 🔹 Data Governance & Security • Create a governance framework with naming conventions, roles, permissions, and auditing protocols. • Standardize certified datasets, metric logic, and metadata documentation. • Provide recommendations for external access and long-term governance. What We’re Looking For ✅ Proven expertise in Power BI architecture, administration, and dashboard development ✅ Strong knowledge of data governance, security models, and deployment best practices ✅ Hands-on experience with Okta SSO, Azure AD federation, and Snowflake SQL ✅ Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps, and GitHub-based version control ✅ Excellent communication skills with a passion for training and mentoring analysts ✅ Flexibility to work across CET, US, and offshore teams Contract Details 📍 Location: Remote (aligned with European timezone) 📅 Duration: Until December 2025 💼 Type: Consulting / Contract - C2C only 💲 Rate: Competitive 📌 Please note: This opportunity is only open to independent consultants/contractors.
