Power BI Developer (Hybrid Position)

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Power BI Developer to design, develop, and implement advanced data visualization solutions for the agency. The Power BI Developer will be responsible for building complex dimensional data models, dashboards, and reports from the ground up while visualizing compelling data stories that support data-driven decision-making. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to engineer innovative, agency-wide data solutions, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and usability. The position requires creativity, initiative, and the ability to work independently on a variety of complex tasks, with opportunities to lead and direct the work of others. Key Responsibilities: • Design, develop, and implement Power BI dashboards, reports, and data models tailored to business needs. • Build complex dimensional models and datasets to support advanced analytics. • Develop, test, and deploy scripts using Python, M, and DAX for deep analysis and custom reporting. • Collaborate with business and technical teams to define requirements and deliver innovative data solutions. • Create compelling visualizations and data stories that communicate insights clearly to stakeholders. • Ensure performance tuning, optimization, and efficient query execution across large datasets. • Support data governance, quality, and security standards in reporting solutions. • Lead or mentor junior team members, contributing to best practices and process improvements.
