Role description
Akkodis is seeking a Power BI/Data Analyst for our Fortune 500 technology client located in Santa Clara, CA. This is a 15+ month contract opportunity (may extend/convert), focusing on developing dashboards and data pipelines, gathering requirements, and delivering reporting solutions for engineering and operations stakeholders. Rate: $65-$75/hr. on W2 The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors. Responsibilities: β€’ Develop and maintain dashboards and reports in Power BI for large, complex datasets β€’ Build and optimize data pipelines from multiple sources (SQL, Excel, MongoDB, log files, etc.) β€’ Gather business requirements, translate into functional specifications, and deliver effective visualization solutions β€’ Troubleshoot data performance issues, ensure accuracy, and optimize dashboard usability β€’ Support automation and workflow improvements with tools such as Python and Jenkins Top Skills: β€’ Power BI Development OR Splunk Dev experience β€’ Python β€’ SQL β€’ BSA – Systems Analyst – writing FSD Requirements: β€’ Strong hands-on experience with Power BI (building dashboards, DAX, performance tuning, visualization best practices) β€’ Experience with Splunk and Git β€’ Ability to integrate data from multiple sources including SQL, Excel, MongoDB, log files β€’ Solid Python skills for data processing and automation β€’ Background in Business Systems Analysis (BSA), including requirement gathering, process flows, and functional specifications β€’ Knowledge of automation tools such as Jenkins (user perspective, not development level) β€’ Strong problem-solving skills, able to adapt to changing priorities and deliver creative solutions β€’ Experience handling large data volumes (hundreds of gigabytes per day) and optimizing for performance β€’ Ability to work cross-functionally with engineering, program management, and lab operations teams Equal Opportunity Employer/Veterans/Disabled Benefit offerings include medical, dental, vision, term life insurance, short-term disability insurance, additional voluntary benefits, commuter benefits and 401K plan.
