The PMO Tools Technical Analyst is responsible for developing, delivering, and supporting PowerBI and MS-Excel based reporting systems, acting as an administrator for the SharePoint sites and eventually help us expand MS-TEAMs usage. This role will be an integral part of the PMO team which establishes reporting dashboards, manages the budget forecasting tools.
Key responsibilities:
β’ Develop Power BI Performance Reporting and Analytics: Design and develop detailed project reports on cost performance and key metric dashboard which help Project Manager and Controller to monitor project health. Develop refresh utilities to minimize manual support required.
β’ Forecasting Tools and Analytics - Support budgeting, scheduling, cost control and financial forecasting efforts by Project Controller through creation of Excel project estimating tools. These forecasting tools will utilize multiple and varied data sources (e.g. SAP, third-party apps, and integrate other Excel spreadsheets)
β’ Administer SharePoint Usage β Provide administration support for access requests, security groups. Assist in evaluating folder structures, strategies for improving document storage and retrieval. Be a resource for other team members on SharePoint questions.
β’ MS-TEAMS Administration β There is an opportunity to work with other support groups to help Propel expand to the use of TEAMS and take advantage of functionality for Channels, Meetings, Chats, and back-end document storage to maximize collaboration.
β’ Support On-boarding and Off-boarding tools and workflows which exist based on a PowerApps. Help develop and improve capabilities for tracking and status tools project resources joining and leaving to ensure they are rapidly becoming productive to their respective teams.
β’ Other β As project needs develop, there may be other software tool integrations required.
β’ Communication: Ability to effectively communicate with PMO team members, Financial Analysts, functional team leads, project managers, IT technical staff, and other stakeholders.
Qualifications:
β’ Bachelorβs degree in computer science or equivalent
Work Experience:
β’ 3-5+ years of experience in developing and supporting PowerBI applications.
β’ 5+ years of experience of advanced MS-Excel workbooks, tools, and applications. Experience with multi-sheet workbooks, pivot tables, formula development, producing graphs, V-look-ups
β’ 2-3+ years of SharePoint Administration β User permissions, establishing site collections, various features and functionalities
β’ Advanced MS-Office suite knowledge: Excel, Word, PowerPoint and MS-Outlook
Desirable Skills:
β’ MS-TEAMS Administration β Experiencing implementing or supporting large scale roll-out, administration, security management. Able to describe pros and cons of using different features.
β’ Microsoft Developer certifications
β’ Various integration techniques and technologies
β’ Data base languages and conceptual knowledge
β’ Knowledgeable on use of Data Lake/Data Bricks.
β’ Experience with Power Automate workflow usage to automate standard tasks like data refreshes, email and reminder communications.
β’ Familiarity with Microsoft Copilot technologies and new AI features such as "SharePoint Agents"
