Role description
Responsibilities Kforce has a client in search of a Principal Data Engineer in Houston, TX. This role is responsible for designing, implementing, and scaling cloud-based data solutions, with deep expertise in Azure, AWS, and SAP environments. Key Responsibilities: β€’ Architect and deliver scalable data platforms and pipelines β€’ Translate business needs into production-ready data solutions β€’ Lead ELT development, data modeling, and ingestion β€’ Drive stakeholder engagement and provide technical mentorship β€’ Ensure best practices in DevOps, change management, and documentation Requirements β€’ Azure, AWS, SAP (expert level) β€’ ELT development, data modeling, data integration (expert level) β€’ Databricks, Azure Data Factory, Synapse, SQL DB, Redshift, Glue, Stream Analytics, Airflow, Kinesis β€’ GitHub, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, SonarQube, PyTest β€’ Python (strong development background) Preferred Skills β€’ Experience leading scrum teams or managing small technical teams β€’ Exposure to planning tools (e.g., BPC) or documentation tools (e.g., MKDocs) β€’ Familiarity with scientific computing, seismic, or subsurface data β€’ Energy, oil and gas, or trading domain experience The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs.
