Product Operations Specialist

Job Title: Product Operations Specialist (III) Location: Mountain View CA (Hybrid – Tue, Wed, Thur Onsite for 3 days) Duration: 3 months contract Role Summary The role is a product operations and strategy position focused on data-driven insights and dashboard building. The candidate will own end-to-end projects, from gathering requirements to building dashboards and conducting user testing. Key Responsibilities Requirements Gathering & Documentation • Engage with stakeholders to collect business requirements. • Convert Business Requirement Documents (BRDs) into Product Requirement Documents (PRDs). • Define metrics, logic, and identify data sources. Technical Work • Write and validate SQL scripts for data extraction and transformation. • Align logic definitions with business and technical stakeholders. • Collaborate with engineers to translate product requirements into technical specs. Dashboard Development • Build dashboards using a drag-and-drop UI layer (customizable, no need for Power BI/Tableau experience). • Publish dashboards and insights to stakeholders. Testing & Training • Conduct User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and perform data validation. • Create and deliver training materials for end users. Required Skills & Experience Technical Skills • Strong SQL proficiency (2–3+ years). • Experience in data validation at scale. • Dashboard tool experience is optional (UI is internal and trainable). Soft Skills • Excellent stakeholder management and communication. • Ability to push back, clarify requirements, and manage ambiguity. • Strong project management capability to run end-to-end initiatives. Functional Background Ideal profiles include: • Technical sales professionals (with strong SQL). • Technical Product Managers (PMs). • Data analysts experienced in dashboard creation and reporting.
