Product Owner / Business Analyst – Brokerage & Digital Assets

Job Title : Product Owner / Business Analyst – Brokerage & Digital Assets Location : Atlanta, GA Duration : 12+ months contract Role Summary We are seeking a Product Owner / Business Analyst with strong domain expertise in brokerage and wealth management, ideally with hands-on experience in middle office or back office operations, including trade lifecycle management, reconciliations, and settlements. Experience or exposure to crypto and digital assets is highly desirable. This role bridges business, operations, technology, and compliance, translating complex financial workflows into clear product requirements and delivering scalable solutions across traditional and digital asset platforms. Key Responsibilities Product Ownership & Strategy • Own and manage the product backlog for platforms supporting brokerage, wealth management, and digital asset operations • Define product vision, roadmap, and priorities aligned with business and regulatory requirements • Translate business goals into epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria • Act as the primary point of contact between stakeholders and delivery teams Business Analysis • Elicit, analyze, and document business requirements across front, middle, and back office functions • Map end-to-end workflows including order management, trade execution, clearing, settlement, custody, and reconciliation • Identify process gaps, inefficiencies, and automation opportunities • Support UAT planning, execution, and defect triage Operations & Reconciliation • Work closely with operations teams on: • Cash, position, and trade reconciliations • Break management and exception handling • Corporate actions and fees processing • Ensure systems support accurate and timely reporting across internal and external counterparties Crypto & Digital Assets (Preferred) • Support products involving crypto trading, custody, wallets, tokenized assets, or digital asset reporting • Understand differences between traditional and blockchain-based settlement models • Collaborate with compliance and risk teams on controls, auditability, and regulatory alignment Stakeholder & Delivery Collaboration • Partner with engineering, QA, compliance, risk, and operations teams • Participate in agile ceremonies (sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives) • Ensure delivered solutions meet business, operational, and regulatory expectations Required Qualifications • 5+ years of experience as a Product Owner, Business Analyst, or similar role in financial services • Strong background in brokerage and/or wealth management • Solid understanding of middle office or back office functions, especially reconciliation and settlements • Experience writing clear, testable business and functional requirements • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills Preferred / Nice to Have • Experience with crypto, digital assets, or blockchain-based platforms • Knowledge of custody systems, OMS/EMS, clearing platforms, or fund accounting systems • Exposure to regulatory environments (SEC, FINRA, MiFID, AML/KYC) • Experience with data reconciliation tools, reporting platforms, or SQL • CSPO, PMI-PBA, or similar certification Key Skills • Product backlog management • Business process modeling • Trade lifecycle & reconciliation • Agile delivery • Stakeholder communication • Regulatory awareness • Digital asset domain knowledge
