Product Owner

Position: Product Owner Location: Hybrid in Doral, FL (Miami) Duration: Long Term MUST HAVE AI EXPERIENCE AND BE ONSITE Job Description Background Client is implementing modern analytics capabilities in support of vessel operations. Platform will be Snowflake on AWS leveraging a DataVault 2.0 architecture. To drive this initiative, product owners (POs) will build and refine user stories for both functional and non-functional requirements. For each story, they will be responsible for meeting readiness definitions to ensure there are no open dependencies which impact build estimation. Responsibilities • Planning and organizing work efforts, working closely with technology team members and with business owners and leaders. • Gathering, elaborating upon, and prioritizing functional and non-functional requirements. • Understanding the business needs and use cases for data. • Organizing project activities around user stories. • Refining user stories with the team to develop a consistent velocity. Skills & Expertise • Able to build and refine user stories aligned to driving a business outcome. • Strong business acumen to ask the right questions and document requirements of business stakeholders. • Able to break down complex problems and analyze data. • Understanding of database concepts. • Able to read a relational database model. • Understanding of APIs and streaming. • Proficient in data governance tools and software. Professional Experience • 5+ years of experience as a Product Owner/Business Analyst in a data centric environment. • Must be very comfortable with agile processes and methods. • Solid understanding of agile story estimation using points. • Solid understanding of data engineering methods and techniques. • Able to write SQL queries to assess data relationships and data quality issues. • Professional experience writing user stories for data solutions. • Working familiarity with cloud ecosystems, AWS preferred.
