Position Title: Prompt Engineer – Innovation LeadershipLocation: Midtown, NYC (4 days onsite, 1 day remote) About the Role We are seeking a skilled Prompt Engineer with proven innovation leadership to join our core operations team. This team includes technical subject matter experts, experienced asset managers, and specialists in alternative and unconventional investment strategies.In this role, you will leverage generative AI models and autonomous workflow systems to design and refine precise prompts that:Automate and optimize business processesEnhance decision-making and service capabilitiesUnlock new investment opportunities Create measurable value across our investment spectrumThis is a high-impact position that bridges AI advancements and strategic business goals within private equity and alternative asset management. Key Responsibilities Collaborate with asset specialists to identify procedural inefficiencies and design tailored prompt architectures for opportunity sourcing, assessment, and allocation. Engineer advanced interactions with LLMs to synthesize insights and support strategic investment decisions. Partner with product development teams to embed prompt-driven AI features tailored to stakeholder needs. Use prompt-enhanced tools to analyze large-scale financial and operational datasets, identifying trends, risks, and growth opportunities. Drive adoption of AI/ML solutions and agentic automation methods to improve operational efficiency. Mentor junior team members in prompt engineering best practices and foster a culture of continuous innovation. Qualifications MBA or equivalent from a top-tier institution. Minimum 8 years’ experience in operational roles, with mandatory exposure to Private Equity or Alternatives. Banking-only experience will not be considered. Hedge fund experience may be acceptable. Extensive hands-on expertise in generative AI and prompt optimization in financial or investment contexts. Strong understanding of industry-specific terminology, deal workflows, and market dynamics in private equity and alternatives. Familiarity with capital mobilization, stakeholder engagement, and collaborative ventures.Proficiency in Python, R, SQL and modern data handling/analytics tools. Knowledge of AI/ML fundamentals, agentic automation frameworks, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).Exceptional communication, leadership, and adaptability in high-energy, cross-functional teams.
