Psychometrician / Quantitative Research Contractor (Remote, U.S.) Contract Type: Ongoing project-based engagement Compensation: Up to $50/hour, commensurate with experience and education level We’re seeking a research-oriented professional to support studies centered on survey design, efficacy research, and educational outcomes (particularly in healthcare education). The role blends psychometrics, data analysis, and applied research design, making it well-suited for an academic-minded professional who enjoys working with complex datasets and translating findings into actionable insights. Key Responsibilities: β€’ Design, pilot, and analyze surveys using Qualtrics, including building logic, flow, and validation checks β€’ Conduct quantitative analyses measuring learner engagement, knowledge retention, and program effectiveness β€’ Perform statistical modeling and data interpretation to assess instrument validity and reliability (e.g., Cronbach’s alpha, item analysis) β€’ Contribute to or lead manuscript development, data visualization, and results reporting for publication or client use β€’ Collaborate with cross-functional teams on study design, data integrity, and dissemination strategies β€’ Support Institutional Review Board (IRB) applications, protocol revisions, and compliance documentation Required Qualifications: β€’ Proven academic research background with publication or co-authorship experience β€’ Advanced proficiency in Qualtrics, including survey programming and data export workflows β€’ Strong command of quantitative methods such as regression, ANOVA, or factor analysis β€’ Familiarity with ethical research processes and IRB requirements β€’ Excellent analytical and written communication skills β€’ Master’s degree (minimum) in Psychology, Education, Public Health, or related behavioral/social science field Preferred Qualifications: β€’ Experience using R, Python, or SAS for statistical analysis and data cleaning β€’ Working knowledge of psychometric methods such as Rasch modeling, test equating, or item response theory β€’ Prior experience in health education, workforce development, or outcomes-based program evaluation Education and Experience: Β· PhD or a doctoral student in educational research or measurement and statistics, educational psychology, or a closely related field. Β· Graduate-level coursework in measurement theory, classical test theory, item response theory, test equating, and quantitative and qualitative research methods.
