Python Developer Fortune 50 Healthcare Brooksource Overview: We’re looking for a Python Developer to join our Data Platform and Engineering team, focused on building applications, APIs, and backend systems that automate and integrate our database platform services across Azure and GCP. This hands-on role combines strong software engineering with database platform development to drive operational efficiency, scalability, and developer enablement. Required Skillsets: • Strong Python development experience, with the ability to design and build applications, APIs, microservices, and backend systems. • Proficiency in frameworks such as Flask, FastAPI, or Django. • Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure and GCP) and Kubernetes (AKS/GKE) for deploying and scaling Python-based applications. • Understanding of CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and integrating Python applications into automated deployment workflows. • Strong grasp of software design principles, architecture, and coding best practices. • Experience developing APIs and integrations to connect with cloud and database services. • Excellent documentation skills and a collaborative mindset to work across Platform, DevOps, and Data Engineering teams. Day-to-Day Responsibilities: • Design, develop, and deploy Python applications and APIs that automate and extend database platform capabilities. • Build and maintain backend services and microservices supporting platform enablement across Azure and GCP. • Work with internal developers and platform engineers to integrate services into CI/CD pipelines and cloud environments (AKS, GKE). • Develop data models, unit tests, and validation frameworks to ensure code reliability and maintainability. • Contribute to software architecture design and help define standards for Python development across the platform. • Support performance tuning, troubleshooting, and production operations for deployed services. • Document technical designs, processes, and reusable components for future enablement.
