Insight Global are looking for an experienced Python Developer to join a leading financial institution based in London. This is a 12-month rolling contract with a hybrid working model, requiring three days per week in the office.
In this role, you will be responsible for supporting several key changes within the client's infrastructure, specifically focusing on monitoring and automation. Your work will involve providing both software development and production support, collaborating with various teams to implement incremental changes across multiple projects.
The main objective of this project is to enhance and evolve the automation and monitoring tools, as well as contribute to the improvement of enterprise tooling. This will involve streamlining systems and processes to ultimately reduce the workload on end users. As part of the team, you will play a vital role in driving the transition towards greater automation and improved system monitoring capabilities. We are seeking a candidate with extensive experience in Python development, capable of contributing to both new feature development and ongoing support efforts.
Must-Have Skills:
10+ years of professional experience in Python software development
Strong expertise in writing, testing, and debugging Python code
Proficient with Python frameworks such as Django, Flask, or Pyramid
Experience working with database systems such as Oracle and MongoDB
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines using Git for continuous integration and delivery
Knowledge of Secure Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) practices
Working knowledge of Unix/Linux environments
