Job Description Role Type: 6 month Contract Work Status: US Citizen or Green Card Holder Start: Immediate Location: Remote Hourly Rate: $60-$70/hr What You’ll Do As a non-exempt/hourly Python Developer at Burwood, you will be responsible for performing application development work, including back-end development for our client that is in the Education sector. You will develop close relationship with the client, enabling you to understand their business/operational needs and technical challenges, and helping them get the most out of their Application and Cloud investments. As a Python Developer, your responsibilities will include: β€’ Python development with web frameworks and data integrations β€’ Assist Public Cloud team in containerizing Python applications β€’ Writing Python Tests β€’ Debugging and code optimization β€’ Learn Google Cloud Platform and serverless technologies Qualifications Who You Are β€’ You are motivated by working with a variety of customers, helping them achieve their technology goals, leading discussions and presentations in front of a customer audience. β€’ You are collaborative in nature and enjoy working closely with customers and colleagues, understanding challenges, and building technical solutions together. β€’ You’re a self-starter, you take initiative β€’ As many of our clients are universities and hospital systems involved in scientific research, a background in research and/or healthcare would be welcomed The TECH Stuff β€’ Python development β€’ Experience with python web framework (Django, Flask, etc..) β€’ Familiarity with CI/CD (Jenkins, CircleCI, TravisCI etc.) β€’ Experience with Git/GitHub β€’ Versed in testing methodologies, writing tests Additional Information The PERKS As a non-exempt team member, you will be eligible for the following benefits: β€’ 401(k) and Roth 401(k) savings plan, complete with a company match β€’ Health, dental, and vision insurance Our Commitment to Diversity & Inclusion We are not intent on being the largest company; but rather, the best.
