Role description
Insight Global is seeking a Python Developer for one of their premier energy trading clients in London.
Please note, this role requires 2 days onsite in Central London, 3 days remote, for a 6 month extended contract (Inside IR35).
Please see an overview of the day to day responsibilities:
This person will be in charge of building out common functionality for the product teams, where you will need to have a solid architectural foundation to be able to solve problems independently at a fast pace. The initial work will involve abstracting code from the product teams into a shared, common python library leveraging PySpark/dataframes. You will also be building microservices in the form of python-based Azure Functions.
Must Have Requirements Include:
β’ Extensive professional software development experience
β’ Strong proficiency in Python
β’ Hands-on experience with the FastAPI framework
β’ Practical experience using PySpark
β’ Advanced knowledge of SQL
β’ Familiarity with Azure infrastructure
β’ Proven ability to work with large-scale datasets within a global enterprise environment
