Python Tech Lead

About the Role: We are seeking a Python Tech Lead with multifamily industry experience to join our team. In this role, you will lead the design and development of scalable, high-performance applications and solutions tailored for the multifamily real estate domain. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to build products that optimize operations, enhance tenant experiences, and drive business value. As a Tech Lead, you will not only contribute hands-on to coding and architecture but also drive technical excellence, mentor engineers, and ensure best practices across all stages of development. Responsibilities: • Lead the technical design, architecture, and implementation of backend systems using Python and modern frameworks. • Partner with product managers and stakeholders to align technology solutions with business needs in the multifamily real estate sector (leasing, property management, CRM, payments, etc.). • Guide and mentor a team of developers, promoting code quality, scalability, and security best practices. • Oversee integration with third-party systems (ERP, CRM, IoT, payment gateways, property management platforms). • Establish and enforce coding standards, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices. • Conduct code reviews, ensure documentation is maintained, and provide technical leadership throughout the software development lifecycle. • Stay up-to-date with trends in Python ecosystem and multifamily technology solutions to recommend improvements. Minimum Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience). • 8+ years of professional software development experience, with at least 4 years in a technical leadership role. • Strong expertise in Python and frameworks such as Django, Flask, or FastAPI. • Domain experience in multifamily real estate technology (property management systems, leasing workflows, tenant portals, data integrations, etc.). • Proven experience with relational and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, etc.). • Hands-on experience with APIs, microservices, and event-driven architectures. • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure). • Excellent communication and leadership skills with a track record of guiding teams.
