Description:
The R Shiny Developer will create R Shiny reports and data pipelines that integrate many types of data to produce report-ready outputs, including tabular outputs and statistical analyses.
Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
β’ Application and report development using R and R Shiny.
β’ R Shiny tabular reporting output in Word and PDF.
β’ Data Engineering; comfort in joining tables from different source systems, creating unions, and parsing data.
β’ Prioritizing work independently to meet deadlines while managing changing priorities to meet customersβ needs.
β’ Working independently on projects that are both strategic and tactical in nature, with the ability to provide strategic direction using innovative and creative solutions.
β’ Using effective internal/external influencing, interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict management skills to resolve relationship and project issues.
Required Skills and Experience:
β’ Bachelorβs degree in Data Science, Science, Engineering, or Computer Science.
β’ Minimum of 4 years of experience developing data analytics applications using R.
β’ Programming knowledge in a scripting language like R is required for data manipulation and analysis.
β’ Database skills; comfortable querying a variety of database systems, such as SQL Server, Oracle, and Snowflake.
β’ Detail-oriented, highly organized, and able to manage multiple tasks.
β’ Prior experience in Statistics or Data Science.
β’ Strong oral and written communication skills.
β’ Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
β’ Experience in source data verification, UATs, and unit testing.
β’ Additional technical competencies in Jira, Bitbucket, and other information technology systems.
β’ Experience with scientific data.
β’ Previous pharmaceutical background, or experience with biological or chemical data.
