Require Skills & Knowledge:
β’ Certification: Active Microsoft PL-300 Power BI Data Analyst Associate.
β’ 1-3 years building reports using Power BI Desktop; basic workspace publishing and management.
β’ Demonstrated SQL development experience by writing queries and procedures and also using functions to create curated data for use in reporting.
β’ Solid grasp of calculated columns/measures, query steps, and optimizations using DAX and Power Query (M).
β’ Understanding of star/snowflake concepts; eager to design models with guidance.
β’ Strong grasp of UX best practices, including bookmarks, drill-throughs, and tooltips.
β’ Experience with Power BI governance using RLS/OLS, and Active Directory .
β’ Ability to troubleshoot performance issues using DAX Studio and Performance Analyzer.
β’ Familiarity with REST APIs, Azure Databricks, or similar external integrations. (could be nice to have)

Responsibilities
β’ Dashboard Development β translate business requirements into compelling, interactive Power BI reports and dashboards (bookmarks, drill-through, tooltips).
β’ Data Modelling β assist in designing scalable semantic models and tuning report performance.
β’ Data Transformation β apply best-practice DAX and Power Query (M) for cleansed, analysis-ready data.
β’ Security & Governance β help implement RLS, OLS, AD-group roles, and workspace management standards.
β’ Integration β contribute to connecting external sources (Azure Databricks, Fabrics, REST APIs) and maintaining reliable dataflows and refresh schedules.
β’ Iteration & Support β collaborate with stakeholders for feedback loops; troubleshoot refresh and performance issues using DAX Studio / Performance Analyzer.
β’ Learning & Growth β Pilot and implement new Power BI/Fabric features (e.g., Copilot, Direct Lake) and emerging BI trends that add measurable business value, while shadowing senior developers to gain hands-on experience.
