Position Overview
The Senior Revenue Recognition Analyst will play a critical role in evaluating go-to-market offerings, reviewing non-standard deals, and determining Standalone Selling Prices (SSP) in accordance with ASC 606. This role offers variety beyond cyclical tasks, providing opportunities to collaborate cross-functionally, contribute to policy development, and support process automation initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
• Revenue Recognition Analysis & Documentation
• Evaluate go-to-market strategies and non-standard deals for ASC 606 compliance.
• Conduct SSP assessments and maintain audit-ready documentation.
• Draft policy memos, presentations, and guidance on revenue recognition decisions.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration
• Partner with Finance, Legal, Sales Ops, and Technical Revenue Teams to address deal structures.
• Provide input on contract terms that may impact revenue recognition.
• Training & Policy Support
• Develop and deliver internal training on revenue recognition requirements.
• Keep teams informed about ASC 606 updates and evolving policies.
• Audit & Compliance Support
• Prepare documentation for internal and external audits.
• Respond to auditor inquiries accurately and promptly.
• Process & Automation Initiatives
• Contribute to Tableau automation projects for revenue recognition reporting.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance scalability and efficiency.
Qualifications
Must-Have Skills
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in revenue recognition with a strong focus on ASC 606.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
Preferred/Teachable Skills
• Experience with Salesforce (Org62) – can be taught.
• Familiarity with Tableau or similar data visualization tools.
• CPA or equivalent credential is a plus.
