About the Role
This is a backfill position to complete outstanding work items, support Lab and Disease Surveillance integration with an eCR and ELR focus, help with CDC Data Modernization Efforts, and provide customer support and guidance.
Responsibilities
β’ Candidates should be self-motivated, team-oriented, work under limited supervision, and respond to priority tasks.
β’ Independently research and design processes, create specifications, develop, lead testing, perform code reviews, actively engage with the team and stakeholders, attend meetings, provide guidance, and respond promptly.
β’ Assist current staff with backend processing and ELC Modernization Projects, including requirements gathering with customers, providing technical advice, time and effort estimates, and project documentation including status reporting.
β’ Experience with electronic Case Reporting (eCR) and Electronic Laboratory Reporting (ELR) formats, processing, and integration.
β’ Expected work includes process development/automation, webservice calls, parsing various data formats (xml, csv, SOAP, HL7, etc.), and route development.
β’ Help with testing, validations, user acceptance testing, deployment, and post-implementation support.
β’ Enhance custom data management and transformation processes in the Rhapsody software.
β’ Ensure systems are following industry best practices to ensure strategic initiatives and compliance with federal and state regulatory laws and ensure business continuity.
β’ Support critical systems and environments used by the Public Health and Lab, Disease Surveillance, and day-to-day operations.
Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's Degree in a relevant field of work or equivalent work experience.
