Our client is building a next-generation data platform to support Financial Risk and Regulatory operations, with the goal of decommissioning legacy systems. This multi-phase initiative involves migrating credit risk data, market risk data, risk models, and regulatory data to a strategic, modern platform.
Hybrid (3 days a week onsite to Downtown Chicago)
About the Role
As a Senior Functional Analyst, you will play a key role in translating business requirements into functional specifications, performing data analysis, and supporting technical data mapping. You will collaborate closely with product owners, business stakeholders, and technical teams to ensure successful delivery across agile sprints.
Minimum Qualifications
β’ 10+ years of experience in functional and technical analysis.
β’ Proven expertise in financial risk domains including credit risk, market risk, and model risk.
β’ Experience with regulatory reporting frameworks such as SCCL, RWA, and FRTB.
β’ Strong data platform experience with technologies such as Oracle, SQL Server, and Snowflake.
β’ Proficiency in agile methodologies, including writing user stories and managing backlogs using Azure DevOps (ADO).
Preferred Qualifications
β’ Familiarity with BCBS 239 or RDARR compliance requirements.
β’ FRM Level I or II certification, or equivalent advanced studies in financial risk.
Responsibilities
β’ Collaborate with product owners and stakeholders to gather and translate business requirements into functional specifications.
β’ Draft and refine user stories, acceptance criteria, and process flows within agile sprints.
β’ Conduct data analysis and map data elements to the financial risk data model.
β’ Support the migration of risk and regulatory data to the new platform.
Rate: $70-80/HR (negotiable)
