Job Title: Windows 11 Roll-Out Engineer Location: Bolton, Greater Manchester, United Kingdom (Onsite 5-Days a week) Day Rate: £200 per day (Inside IR35) Job Type: 6 Month Contract Company Introduction: My client is looking for an experienced Windows Roll-Out Engineer to assist and take pressure away from the internal team. The position will be for a six month contract. This role focuses on the deployment, management, and maintenance of IT infrastructure, including Windows 11 builds, laptop setups, printer deployment, and asset tracking. Role Responsibilities: • Build and deploy Windows 11 images using Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM/SCCM) and Intune. • Configure and enrol Windows 11 devices using Windows Autopilot and Azure AD Join. • Maintain and support hybrid deployment scenarios (SCCM co-management with Intune). • Develop and deploy application packages using SCCM, Intune Win32 apps, and MSI packaging. • Manage device compliance and security baselines via Microsoft Endpoint Manager. • Perform OS patch management and feature update deployments. • Troubleshoot deployment issues using Event Viewer, Log Analytics, and MDM logs. • Support end-user device setup, including printers and peripherals, ensuring smooth onboarding. • Maintain asset tracking and lifecycle management using ITAM tools or CMDB. • Support IGEL thin client environments (advantageous but not essential). • Work with Group Policy, Active Directory, and Azure AD Conditional Access Policies. • Document deployment procedures, scripts, and knowledge articles. Required Skills/Experience The ideal candidate will have the following: • Proven experience in enterprise Windows 10/11 deployment and support. • Strong hands-on experience with: • SCCM / MECM • Microsoft Intune / Endpoint Manager • Windows Autopilot • Azure Active Directory • Group Policy Objects (GPO) • Experience in device imaging and application packaging. • Understanding of co-management and modern desktop provisioning. • Familiarity with PowerShell scripting for automation and troubleshooting. • Knowledge of patching processes, feature updates, and Windows Servicing Channels. • Experience with IT asset and inventory management systems. • Excellent troubleshooting skills for both hardware and software deployment issues.
