Position Overview
The Sales & Marketing Data Associate at Pero Family Farms will support the Sales, Marketing, and Business Intelligence teams by collecting, organizing, and analyzing data to help drive informed decision-making. This role assists in developing automated reports, tracking sales performance against budgets, and providing actionable insights that improve efficiency and profitability.
Working closely with the Sales, Marketing and Performance leadership, the Sales & Marketing Data Associate will gain exposure to data analytics, CRM systems, AI automation tools, and performance reporting used across national accounts. This entry-level position is designed to build the skills and experience necessary for future advancement into analytics leadership roles within Pero Family Farms.
Requirements
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
β’ Data Collection & Reporting
β’ Collect, clean, and organize sales and marketing data from multiple internal and external sources (IRI, CRM, POS, and Excel).
β’ Prepare weekly and monthly sales performance summaries, comparing sales actuals vs. budgeted goals.
β’ Support the automation of recurring reports using Power BI, Tableau, Excel Macros, and other systems.
β’ Assist in maintaining consistent data flow between Sales, Marketing, and Client Services systems.
β’ AI & Automation Support
β’ Learn to use AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Power Automate, Zapier) to streamline manual reporting and task workflows.
β’ Document and standardize recurring processes for efficiency improvements.
β’ Contribute to system testing and data validation for automated dashboards.
β’ Sales Analytics Assistance
β’ Analyze basic trends in sales volume, pricing, and customer behavior to identify growth opportunities.
β’ Collaborate with Sales Analysts and Managers to forecast performance and prepare ad hoc analysis for executive reports.
β’ Participate in cross-functional projects supporting national account growth and retail performance tracking.
β’ Marketing Performance Tracking
β’ Support the collection and organization of campaign performance data for the Marketing team.
β’ Assist with ROI analysis on promotions and trade spend by retailer and product line.
β’ Help visualize data through charts and dashboards that connect marketing activity to sales outcomes.
β’ Learning & Collaboration
β’ Participate in hands-on training for data visualization, reporting automation, and analytics storytelling.
β’ Work alongside IT and Sales & Marketing leadership to understand how data systems support business decision-making.
β’ Attend internal meetings and presentations to learn best practices in analytics-driven sales and marketing management.
Qualifications
β’ Bachelorβs degree in Business Analytics, Marketing, Finance, or a related field.
β’ Strong skills in Excel and familiarity with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, or Google Data Studio).
β’ Interest in learning CRM systems (Salesforce, HubSpot) and AI automation platforms.
β’ Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
β’ Detail-oriented, eager to learn, and comfortable managing multiple priorities.
β’ Demonstrated curiosity about data analytics, technology, and the food or CPG industry.
