β’ Overview:
We are seeking a Technical Business Analyst who will support our client's salesforce team by working with stakeholders to design, implement, and improve business processes and systems.
The Salesforce Technical Business Analyst is a key member of the IT team responsible for understanding, documenting, and mapping business processes to appropriate technology solutions. This role will also be responsible for doing gap analysis on pre-built systems to determine where development is needed.
Duties
β’ Identify business needs, elicit specifications and requirements, and collaborate with customers and other IT team members to develop innovative solutions
β’ Prepare functional specifications, review with customer, and revise as needed, obtain sign off
β’ Provide analysis for projects involving systems design or redesign
β’ Serve as a customer liaison, represent the department as needed on project teams and working groups
β’ Document system processes, configurations, and changes
β’ Manage multiple projects and assignments concurrently; meet established deadlines
β’ Communicate to management and end-users in meaningful and understandable terms
β’ Facilitate communication and collaboration among diverse groups at all levels of the organization
β’ Serve as a resource and mentor for other team members
β’ Understand and adhere to NYSERDAβs policies and procedures.
β’ Perform other responsibilities as assigned
Mandatory Qualifications
β’ Bachelor's degree in Information Systems or related field and two years experience in systems analysis work; or Associate's degree and five years of experience in systems analysis work
β’ Certificates from recognized programs that indicate mastery of tools and techniques relevant to the assignment may substitute for up to six months of experience.
β’ 5+ years experience translating business needs into formal requirements
β’ 2+ years of experience doing functional design and requirements in Salesforce
β’ 2+ years experience creating functional and technical documentation
β’ 1+ years experience with Salesforce Sales and Service Cloud
β’ Experience with Salesforce Lightning capabilities and familiarity with what can be accomplished using Flows, Approval Processes, and other Salesforce automations.
β’ Ability to create reports in Salesforce.
β’ Familiarity with Salesforce data models and metadata.
β’ Ability to communicate technically complex concepts in easy-to-understand terms
β’ Ability to communicate effectively and clearly with both technical and non-technical staff
β’ Ability to focus on details to create a reliable and accurate work product
β’ Experience establishing, documenting, and maintaining procedures and processes
β’ Experience with relational databases and complex data structures; ability to create basic SQL queries
β’ Knowledge of end user data manipulation tools
β’ Knowledge of report creation tools
β’ Strong organizational and time management skills
β’ Ability to facilitate internal end-user training on new or substantially modified systems.
β’ Ability to facilitate User Acceptance Testing sessions
β’ Experience triaging bug and enhancement tickets and helping to diagnose system problems
β’ Knowledge of data security and encryption
β’ Ability to keep up with IT advancements
