Akkodis is seeking a SAP 4.3 Business Objects Developer for a Contract position with a client located in Beachwood, OH (Remote). Pay Range: $55/hr - $65/hr, The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors Job Description: We are seeking a skilled SAP BusinessObjects (BO) 4.3 Developer to design, develop, and support business intelligence solutions. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with the latest SAP BO 4.3 platform, strong expertise in report development, universe design (IDT/UDT), and integration with various data sources. This role involves working closely with business stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver accurate, timely, and insightful reports and dashboards. Key Responsibilities: • Design, develop, and maintain reports and dashboards using SAP BO 4.3 (via Web Intelligence). • Develop and maintain semantic layers using the Universe Design Tool (UDT) and Information Design Tool (IDT). • Integrate BO with different data sources (e.g., Oracle and Snowflake). • Perform performance tuning and troubleshooting of BO reports and universes. • Work closely with business analysts, stakeholders, and other IT teams to understand and translate reporting requirements. • Maintain and administer the SAP BO environment, including user and security management. • Create and maintain technical documentation, data dictionaries, and user guides. Required Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. • 5+ years of experience in SAP Business Objects development. • 2+ years of experience specifically with SAP BO 4.3. • Expertise in Web Intelligence (WebI), IDT/UDT, and Crystal Reports. • Experience with BO administration and user security configuration. • Strong SQL skills and experience with relational databases. • Knowledge of data modeling and ETL processes. • Strong analytical and communication skills. • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities. • Ability to work independently Preferred Qualifications: • Experience in Agile/Scrum development environments. • SAP BO certification is a plus. • Knowledge of scripting languages like VBA or JavaScript used within BO reports.
