Connect to your opportunity This is a support-focused role that requires a self-motivated and driven individual with a "get it done" mentality and a passion for helping teams resolve complex technology support problems in a timely manner. Previous good experience in an organisation providing technical support is essential for success, as is the ability to apply techniques like “root-cause analysis" and other service management principles. The SAP BI Support Analyst plays a crucial role in supporting the business with problems and incidents related to the SAP BI technology stack. They also identify optimisations, process improvements and revisions to documentation or knowledge articles and internal processes as part of a Continuous Improvement mindset. Key responsibilities include: Take the lead on Support-related issues on Deloitte’s internal SAP-based BI / Analytics applications Problem and Incident support: Monitor incident queues for new calls logged against the team, and perform root-cause analysis and recommend / implement solutions to prevent them re-occurring Small enhancement and change requests to core SAP BI Applications Monitoring of scheduled process chains / ETL of data from source systems and resolve errors and introduce preventative solutions Support of key business-critical reporting processes in SAP HANA, SAP Business Objects, and Tableau Connect to your skills and professional experience Essential Relevant experience in an SAP BI focused support or solution development role Knowledge of SAP Business Objects tools: Web Intelligence Analysis Office (AO) Publications / Scheduling Security / object permissions Platform Security concepts using AD Authentication and Group replication SAP Data Services (BODS) - knowledge and experience of Designer, Admin Console and general platform concepts Capable of querying database tables by writing complex SQL statements to check and validate data ITIL v3/4 Foundation certified and/or knowledge of ITSM processes in ServiceNow Use of SAP Solution Manager to release and deploy changes across a multi-tier landscape Good written and verbal communication skills Desirable Knowledge and experience of other BI solutions such Tableau (Desktop / Prep / Server) Knowledge of SAP HANA admin, security and application deployment Technical knowledge or experience of developing using Data warehousing technologies (e.g. SQL server, Oracle, SAP HANA etc.) and good understanding of key Data Warehouse principles Capable of creating high-quality technical spec documentation and data flows in Visio or similar. SAP Business Objects Platform Administration certification (4.3) - Application Associate Experience of working with colleagues and 3rd party suppliers based remotely or offshore.
