Overview:
We are seeking a highly experienced SAP Master Data Domain Specialist to lead enterprise-scale MDM initiatives within Ergon’s SAP landscape. This role will be responsible for designing, governing, and optimizing master data processes across multiple business units, ensuring data consistency, accuracy, and compliance in support of critical operational and analytical functions. This is a high-impact, client-facing role with work performed remotely and occasional on-site visits—fully reimbursed.
Key Responsibilities:
· Lead the design, implementation, and governance of SAP MDD frameworks for material, vendor, customer, and finance master data.
· Work across S/4HANA, ECC, and integrated platforms to ensure master data quality and integrity.
· Define data standards, validation rules, and stewardship processes in alignment with corporate and regulatory requirements.
· Partner with functional leads in Supply Chain, Finance, Manufacturing, and Sales to translate business needs into scalable MDD solutions.
· Support and optimize data migration, replication, and integration processes, including the use of SAP Data Services, MDG, and Datasphere where applicable.
· Implement and manage data governance dashboards, KPIs, and reporting for data quality monitoring.
· Provide expert-level troubleshooting and resolution for master data-related issues.
· Conduct training and knowledge transfer to data stewards and business teams.
Required Skills & Experience:
· 10+ years of SAP experience with a strong focus on Master Data management across multiple domains
· Proven track record with SAP MDG (Master Data Governance) or equivalent MDM tools.
· Strong expertise in data modeling, validation frameworks, and governance processes.
· Hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA and integration to legacy systems.
· Familiarity with data integration tools such as SAP Data Services, SLT, or CPI.
· Deep understanding of business processes in manufacturing, supply chain, and finance.
· Excellent stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills.
· Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in fast-paced, complex environments.
Preferred Qualifications:
· Experience with SAP Datasphere for master data analytics and reporting.
· Knowledge of regulatory compliance frameworks (SOX, GDPR, etc.).
· Experience in global or multi-entity SAP environments.
