SAP S/4HANA Engineer (Basis & Operations Support) We are seeking an experienced SAP S/4HANA Engineer to play a key role in a multi-phase SAP implementation and ongoing technical operations. This is a 4-year transformation project, currently 1.5 years in. Wave 1 went live in May 2024 at a new assembly facility. Wave 2, now in progress, focuses on back-office functions—Planning, Procurement, FICO, Sales Order, and Manufacturing. Wave 3 will transition existing assembly facilities to the new S/4HANA platform. In this dynamic role, you will support the SAP S/4HANA environment across project and operational workstreams. Day-to-day responsibilities range from remediation and support tickets, upgrades, patching, and system monitoring to disaster recovery, transport management (Rev-Trac), and Basis activities. You will also help define system requirements, ensure platform reliability, and manage architecture across multiple SAP solutions. Key Responsibilities: • Ensure proper setup and management of SAP S/4HANA systems and connected platforms (BTP, Commerce Cloud, Datasphere, SAC, IBP, OpenText, etc.) • Plan and execute system upgrades, patches, and transformation activities • Collaborate with Solution Architects to align on integration design and overall cloud architecture strategy • Monitor performance, system health, and license consumption; apply industry best practices for tuning and optimization • Oversee solution governance and transport management using Rev-Trac • Execute annual disaster recovery test plans and ensure backup/recovery strategies align with SAP best practices • Support technical architecture design, build, test, and deployment of SAP systems • Maintain ongoing reliability, performance, and support of SAP application environments • Create and manage system documentation, job monitoring, and queue management • Partner with our AMS provider (NTT) to resolve incidents, process enhancement requests, and manage changes • Mentor junior SAP team members and act as a technical leader within the SAP Ops team • Provide on-call support as needed and respond to system outages in a timely manner Must-Have Qualifications: 1. Experience with SAP S/4HANA new implementations 1. Minimum 2 years as an SAP Engineer with strong Basis administration skills 1. Hands-on experience with SAP BTP, Datasphere, SAC, IBP, and Commerce Cloud 1. Experience with Rev-Trac for transport and change management 1. Deep understanding of SAP technical architecture and cloud/hybrid environments 1. Proven experience with backup, recovery, disaster recovery, and high availability setup 1. System monitoring, performance tuning, and license consumption management 1. Strong collaboration skills with internal teams and external partners (e.g., NTT) 1. Ability to document, communicate, and lead technical conversations 1.
