Job Type: 12 months
Job Summary: We are looking for a skilled SAS Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in SAS programming, along with a working knowledge of Python and AWS. In this role, you will be responsible for developing, optimizing, and maintaining SAS-based solutions to support data-driven business decisions, as well as leveraging AWS cloud services and Python for additional automation, analytics, and integration tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
β’ Design, develop, and implement SAS programs for data extraction, transformation, and reporting in alignment with business requirements.
β’ Work closely with cross-functional teams to define and execute data processing workflows.
β’ Develop and optimize complex SAS procedures, macros, and scripts to ensure efficient and accurate data analysis.
β’ Perform data validation, quality checks, and troubleshoot SAS programs and code issues.
β’ Build data pipelines and integrate SAS with AWS cloud platforms and other systems for improved scalability and performance.
β’ Leverage Python for automating tasks, handling data manipulation, and enhancing SAS-based processes.
β’ Implement and maintain cloud-based solutions using AWS services (e.g., S3, EC2, Lambda, RDS) to enhance data storage, processing, and deployment.
β’ Document code, processes, and systems clearly and maintain them for future reference.
β’ Support and mentor junior developers in SAS, Python, and AWS technologies.
β’ Continuously explore and adopt new technologies to improve efficiency, performance, and scalability of data solutions.
Skills and Qualifications:
β’ SAS: Strong hands-on experience in SAS programming, data management, and analytics, including familiarity with SAS BASE, SAS MACROS, and SAS SQL.
β’ Python: Knowledge of Python for data processing, analysis, and automation (e.g., Pandas, NumPy, SciPy, Jupyter Notebooks).
β’ AWS: Experience with AWS services such as S3, EC2, Lambda, RDS, and AWS Glue for cloud-based data storage, processing, and orchestration.
β’ Database Knowledge: Proficiency in working with relational databases (e.g., SQL, MS SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL).
β’ Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills to solve complex data issues and improve data workflows.
β’ Data Modeling and Reporting: Experience in designing data models and creating reports and dashboards.
β’ Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
β’ Version Control: Experience with version control systems such as Git.
Preferred Skills:
β’ Experience with AWS Data Lakes and ETL processes.
β’ Knowledge of big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark).
β’ Familiarity with machine learning or AI applications in data processing.
Education and Experience:
β’ Bachelorβs degree in computer science, Information Technology, Mathematics, or a related field.
β’ 5+ years of experience in SAS programming and data analytics.
β’ Experience with cloud platforms (AWS) and Python programming.
