Senior Azure Engineer ($60/hr)

We are seeking an experienced Senior Azure Engineer with a strong background in cloud engineering and application development to join our team in San Ramon. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of designing, developing, and deploying cloud solutions within the financial services industry, with hands-on expertise across Microsoft Azure services and modern web development frameworks. Key Responsibilities • Design, build, and maintain cloud-based applications leveraging Azure App Services, Functions, Logic Apps, Storage, and Active Directory (AD). • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and integrate RESTful APIs and modern web applications using .NET Core, Entity Framework, Bootstrap, JavaScript, jQuery, and CSS. • Develop, optimize, and manage SQL databases, including stored procedures, triggers, and functions. • Provide architectural guidance and ensure best practices in Azure cloud adoption, security, and scalability. • Stay current with emerging cloud technologies and computing trends to continuously improve infrastructure and development practices. • Contribute to a collaborative environment that fosters innovation and knowledge-sharing. Qualifications • Progressive technical experience, preferably within a financial services organization. • 3+ years of hands-on experience developing with Microsoft Azure services (App Services, Functions, Logic Apps, Storage, AD, ADO). • 5+ years of experience in SQL development (procedures, triggers, functions). • 5+ years of experience in web application development and REST API development with .NET Core and related frameworks. • Strong front-end development skills using Bootstrap, CSS, jQuery, and JavaScript. • In-depth knowledge of cloud computing, modern software architectures, and industry best practices. • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills. • Ability to interview onsite and commit to 2–3 days per week onsite in San Ramon.
