Brief Description
Working with the Head of Risk & Assurance, you will be:
• Managing the Capital Delivery (CD) top level risk register in consultation with the Director team; so that risks are current, communicated and well managed.
• Supporting the key Capital Delivery quarterly governance meeting (Business Assurance Committee) in relation to compilation of meeting papers and management of actions.
• Monitoring risk activities across CD to assure that process is being followed and outputs are of the right quality.
• Monitoring the delivery of key governance (Project and Internal Audits) and managing the resulting actions so that they are well understood, with an accountable owner, that actions are properly closed and that senior management have visibility of delivery status.
• Identifying and communicating key themes which are highlighted through our independent review processes to drive learning across CD.
About The Role (External)
Your Main Responsibilities will be to:
• Provide comprehensive business management information, analysis and reporting service to the Infrastructure Projects Leadership team. Lead the analysis and reporting of business information for IP, sponsorship and Network Operations teams, including resources, competency, project priorities and status, finance, people issues and customer services.
• Establish, manage and develop robust processes for the management and reporting of business information. Analyse business performance information to identify opportunities for improvement in the effectiveness and efficiency of Planning activities. Develop innovative ways of improving the efficiency of information collection, analysis and reporting.
• Liaise with IP, sponsorship, Network Operations teams, finance and HR teams to deliver periodic updates. Assess performance against plan for recoveries and income and act as system owner for the technology solutions e.g. DWWP.
• Lead change projects so they are delivered on time and to agreed quality, in accordance with corporate processes, standards and guidance and in a manner that minimises disruption to business performance.
• Manage the production of the ERM packs and other business management packs on a periodic basis. Review the information and provide appropriate supporting analysis to business pack owners.
• Lead the development of methods, processes and tools to support statistical analysis of business performance data.
• Support the provision of information to auditors/regulators as required.
You Will Ideally Have (Essential)
• Degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant subject
• Substantial experience of extracting information and reporting from multiple data sources
• Excellent communication and analytical skills, with proven ability to present information effectively and appropriately
• Good working knowledge of business planning processes
