Senior Data Analyst

Role: Data Analyst IV Location: San Jose, CA (Hybrid) Duration: 9 Months Contract We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Data Analyst to join our team. This role is responsible for conducting advanced data analysis to support both ongoing and ad-hoc business needs, driving data-informed decision-making across the organization. The ideal candidate will develop and maintain analytical tools, methodologies, and reporting systems, while also identifying new data sources and contributing to process and product improvements. A strong ability to interpret complex datasets, communicate actionable insights clearly, and collaborate effectively with both technical teams and business stakeholders is essential. This position plays a key role in enhancing data quality, optimizing analytical processes, and delivering impactful data solutions that align with organizational goals. Responsibilities: • Performs complex data analysis in support of ad-hoc and standing management or customer requests. • Develops programs, methodologies, and files for analyzing and presenting data. • Uses and supports database applications and analytical tools. Evaluates data quality, applications, and functions. • Produces output and maintains operation. • Research new data sources and analytical tools. • Contributes to new product development and improvement in product delivery and presentation. • Develops awareness of and familiarity with issues and events affecting organization, department, and/or customer. • Uses timely and appropriate participation of users/customers in data collection and query systems.: • Provides accurate and appropriate interpretation of data, applying knowledge to evaluation, analysis, and interpretation of data. • Develops appropriate methodologies for collecting, analyzing, and presenting data products. • Develops useful and insightful information from a variety of data sources. • Works with management and/or customers to develop and understand product specifications. • Communicates regularly and effectively with team members and management and communicates results effectively to management and/or customers. • Delivers data products in report/presentation format, or verbally, to management and/or customer specifications and timelines. • Points out system or process problems when noticed and engages the team in problem solving. • Facilitates satisfactory communication and resolution of problems. Team: Data Platforms & Services Reason for Posting: Need to augment resources for Realtime data modernization and regulatory compliance reporting Chance for Extension/Conversion: Currently, the position is for 6 - 9 months with potential to extend Daily Responsibilities As a Data analyst, you’ll engage in all facets of requirement analysis, data profiling, business transformations, source-target mapping, UAT testing & data quality. Ability to understand business deliverables, impact assessment and resolving UAT/Production issues. Top 4 must-have skills • Extensive data analysis & SQL skills • GCP BQ, PySpark, BI Reporting • No SQL, JSON Struct processing • Processing large datasets and Payment domain knowledge Degrees or Certifications: basic BA or BS; not particular certification required
