Position Summary:
Overview:
Analyze data from service records, customer escalations, warranty, and other product-quality related data sources. Identify trends and relationships. Present data for global stakeholders. Summarize / synthesize data for recurring product quality reviews.
Critical Skills:
Highly proficient at obtaining data from various online data sources and transforming, filtering, and manipulating as needed
Efficient at analyzing large amounts of data, and evaluating for trends, triggers
Must be able to communicate effectively in-person and remotely with a globally distributed multi-cultural team
Experience analyzing service issues or customer support records
Work Location:
Expected to work in-person with the Comprehensive Care Ultrasound team, first at the Wauwatosa Research Park location, then at Waukesha Grandview.
Our global Medical Device client is seeking a Senior Data Analyst to support their Global Ultrasound team. This role will play a critical part in data-driven decision-making for service requests, defects, and root cause issues, ultimately leveraging data and analytics to mitigate escalations and improve overall product quality.
Key Responsibilities:
β’ Analyze large datasets from service records, customer escalations, warranty data, and product quality reports.
β’ Work with Excel to analyze and structure data and identify trends and root causes of defects, supporting product improvement initiatives.
β’ Query databases using SQL (from scratch), Tableau, and other analytics tools to extract and manipulate data.
β’ Build Power BI dashboards and Smartsheets from scratch for automated, real-time data visualization.
β’ Develop and present insights to stakeholders, including leadership and cross-functional teams.
β’ Automate data collection and reporting processes, ensuring timely and accurate updates.
β’ Transform and interpret complex log data from scanners and devices for meaningful analysis.
β’ Collaborate with global teams to improve data utilization and decision-making.
β’ Drive thought leadership, guiding teams on how to interpret/leverage data for business impact.
Required Knowledge & Skills:
β’ Strong database querying skills (SQL, Tableau, Power BI).
β’ Proficiency in M365, Excel (x/vlookups, pivot tables), and Smartsheets.
β’ Experience analyzing service records and customer support data and create dashboards in PowerBI and automate data refresh processes.
β’ Critical thinking and problem-solving mindset, with a curiosity for uncovering insights.
β’ Strong communication skills, capable of presenting findings to leadership and stakeholders.
β’ Self-starter with thought leadership abilityβnot just executing tasks but understanding the "why" behind the data.
β’ Experience with large-scale data transformation and visualization tools.
