Key Responsibilities
• Lead migration of SSIS-based ETL workflows to DBT and GCP-native tools (Dataflow, Dataform, Composer/Airflow).
• Design, implement, and optimize dimensional data models in BigQuery for performance and scalability.
• Collaborate with BI teams to ensure Tableau-ready data marts that meet reporting needs.
• Ensure data quality, lineage, and security through robust testing, documentation, and monitoring.
• Phase out legacy systems with transitional architectures to ensure smooth migration.
• Mentor junior engineers and establish cloud-first best practices.
Required Qualifications
• 5+ years of Data Engineering experience with strong SQL & ETL skills.
• Expertise in SSIS and SQL Server–based data marts.
• Proven experience with Google BigQuery and DBT.
• Strong understanding of dimensional modeling and data warehousing principles.
• Hands-on experience migrating on-prem data pipelines to cloud platforms.
• Familiarity with GCP services (Cloud Storage, Pub/Sub, Dataflow, Composer, IAM).
• Healthcare Information Systems knowledge.
Preferred Skills
• Experience integrating with Tableau BI solutions.
• Knowledge of Terraform and Git-based CI/CD workflows.
• Understanding of data observability and cost optimization strategies.
• Familiarity with metadata management tools like Data Catalog or DataPlex.
